If you’re planning to join your first ICANN meeting—or are simply
new to the Country Code Names Supporting Organization (ccNSO)—we have
several great ways to help you get started and make the most of your
experience.
ccNSO Newcomer Webinar – 7 October 2025
Before ICANN84 kicks off, join our ccNSO Newcomer Webinar on 7 October
at noon UTC [2]. This session will give you an overview of:
* What the ccNSO is and how it works within ICANN
* Current issues and activities
* How you can participate and contribute
Read more [1]. It’s a friendly, interactive way to ask questions, meet
others who are just starting out, and get ready for your first (or next)
ICANN meeting.
ICANN84 info package - Come prepared
Ahead of ICANN84, newcomers are encouraged to read the ccNSO Newcomers
Info Package [3]. This resource includes:
* An introduction to what the ccNSO is and why participation matters
* A quick guide to the ccNSO Council, working groups, and committees
* Key dates and session highlights at ICANN84
It’s your one-stop guide to understanding the basics, planning your
schedule, and preparing for the meeting.
ccNSO Buddy Program – Connect at ICANN84
At ICANN84, newcomers can take part in the ccNSO Buddy Program. This
initiative pairs newcomers with experienced ccNSO community members
(“buddies”) who can:
* Help you navigate the meeting schedule
* Introduce you to other participants
Share insights into the ccNSO’s culture, values, and goals
You’ll have the chance to meet your buddy during the casual ccNSO
newcomer meet-up at the ICANN84 ccNSO Members Meeting [4], during a
relaxed setting designed to help you connect, ask questions, and feel at
home in the community. Join us on Wednesday, 29 October 2025 |
09:00-10:00 local time in Dublin. [5]
If you’re curious about the ccNSO, now is the perfect time to get
involved. The webinar and the Buddy Program are both designed to make
your journey into the ccNSO welcoming, supportive, and rewarding.
Register now for the Newcomer Webinar on 7 October, [2] read the info
package [3], and join the meet-up at ICANN84 [5] to be matched with a
buddy.
Do you have questions about the buddy Program? Please contact Claudia
Ruiz
We look forward to meeting you!
