[Tznog] STATEMENT OF TANZANIA ISP ASSOCIATION (TISPA) - Regarding AFRINIC

Dear TZNOC

Please find attached the statement of the Tanzania Internet Service
Providers Association (*TISPA*) regarding AFRINIC in the wake of AFRINIC's
bank accounts being frozen which is a concern that resonates with the wider
African Internet Community which includes Tanzania.

AFRINIC bank accounts have been frozen threatening normal operations.
Without AFRINIC, normal Internet operations in Africa cannot function as a
number of services provided by AFRINIC are used by ISPs across Africa and
in Tanzania.

The AFRINIC CEO has made a public statement to the effect. Please also find
a recent video message from the AFRINIC CEO.

*NOTE*: TISPA is an AFRINIC Member and also represents 22 AFRINIC Resource
Members in Tanzania who are TISPA Members.
