What if some of the clause in the Election criteria are making some not to register?

Hi Mligo and wider membership,

 

Its indeed a great surprise that after the call there was low response from members to that end as per the call for expression of interest.

 

Are we all happy for us to extend the call for EOI for one more week until the 2nd of September 2022 to all for members to nominate and second volunteers to the various open seats.

The NOMCOM received very few applications for all the open positions and some have only one applicant.

As part of the transition process of the Internet Society, Tanzania Chapter leadership, The Election Committee (ECOM) is expected to conduct the election of new executives who will manage the affairs of the Chapter for the next election cycle. The attached document provides the criteria and procedures for the conduct of the upcoming elections. We have slightly adjusted the timeline to give members enough time and at least two weeks to nominate and second and self nominate as a team.
