Partners' Call - 14 May 2024

Dear All,

It was a pleasure seeing many of you on our partners’ call on Monday.
Please find attached the meeting deck and notes. Below are some
highlights and two action items.

	* ICANN80 Policy Forum. There will be many activities related to the
Coalition during and prior to ICANN80 meeting.

  	* ACTION REQUIRED: Please complete this short survey [1] to share
information about your organization’s presence at ICANN80.
	* Video Recording (Tuesday, June 11 - morning) We will be doing short
videos from CDA partners.
	* Booth for the Coalition (June 10-13)

                                                                 i.
The booth will be available for all partners to share information and
materials.

                                                               ii.
Once we have the meeting agenda published, I will reach out to ask about
your interest/availability in being present at the booth.

  	* Partners’ Meeting (tentative date: Tuesday, June 11). More
information will follow.
	* Africa Space session (tentative date: Wednesday, June 12)
	* Reception / Community Cocktail promoting the Coalition and launching
the Africa Domain Name Industry Study (tentative date: Wednesday, June
12)

	* New Coalition Partners. ICANN shared information about two new
potential partners:

  	* Commonwealth Telecommunications Organization (CTO) [2]; IGO with 19
African member states

                                                                 i.
Proposed Project: Capacity development for policymakers, regulators and
governments across African member states through proposed Digital
Transformation Roadshow.

  	* Lawyers Hub [3]; Pan-African digital, law, data governance, and
policy think tank; headquartered in Kenya and with members in over 50
African countries.

                                                                 i.
Proposed Coalition Project: Capacity Development for lawyers and policy
practitioners across Africa on the Domain Name System, and technology
across Africa.

  	* ACTION ITEM: Any concerns may be raised to the Coalition Secretariat
by Wednesday, May 15th Friday, May 17th.
	* If no concerns are raised, ICANN will proceed to process acceptance
of these two organizations as CDA partners.
