Hi everyone,



Nice to see many of you earlier on the first GDC discussion webinar. As
discussed, I’m sharing CIRA’s thinking on proposed amendments,
modifications to the GDC zero draft at this stage in the process.


In the attached PDF you can find our proposed edits and accompanying
rationle with deletions noted in strike-through and new text in red.



The Government of Canada’s timelines have been very tight, so this is a
very-nearly-final draft. Though, certainly, we hope and expect to provide
further comments during the course of negotiations, and as the dialogue
evolves.



We hope this gives you a sense of our current thinking for your situational
awareness, and perhaps informs your own views on sections of the draft.
