[Excom] AfTLD - ICANN Proposed Contract on ccTLD Capacity Building Project - Response from AFTLD

Dear Colleagues

The AFTLD Executive Committee met on 15th November 2023. Among the 
issues discussed was Coalition for a Digital Africa Contract.
The committee appreciated the offer from ICANN but took noted the fact 
that it had great disparities with the proposal made by AFTLD which 
would inevitably affect the final output.
AFTLD will make specific comments on the contract and submit the same 
for ICANNS consideration by Wednesday 22nd November 2023. We are 
uncomfortable to sign the contract as is since it does not support the 
spirit of the deliberations we have had from the beginning of 2023. We 
will remain at your disposal for further deliberations.
