Dear Yaovi,

We shared this statistics with the ICANN team during the Africa Domain
Name System Forum. You may recall part of my presentation involved
statistics that the AFTLD Secretariat had obtained after conducting a
desk survey prior to the Africa Domain Name System Forum. We have
uploaded the statistics on stats.aftld.org. You will notice that there
is a significant number of registrations from the registries operated by
Freenom where the domains are issued for free.
On a separate note and as per the brief from the AFTLD President, we
have made significant effort in developing the observatory. We are
currently seeking guidance on how to deal with legal issues around the
anycast data that we intend to use to populate the observatory. While we
plan for a partners meeting we welcome your feedback on the Beta system
stats.aftld.org which us still under developement.

Thank you

Best Regards

Thank you

Best Regards
