[Aftld-members] Call for AFTLD Working Group Membership

Dear Members,

This is a call to members to join the various AFTLD working Groups. The 
working groups will be Chaired by Executive Commitee members and will 
report to the Executive Commitee. Below please find terms of reference 
for the various working groups:

Maximum of 5 members

Chaired by EXCOM members
Communicate via mailing list
Face-to-face meetings at AfTLD meetings where necessary
Make progress reports at AfTLD
Members for one year term renewable for second term
Report to EXCOM on work

Technical Working Group

Chair Grace Ingabire CEO RICTA (.RW ccTLD)

Roles
Design Technical Capacity Building plan for AfTLD
Review Technical and Security Issues affecting AfTLD members
Advise Board on technical  related issue
Research Working Group
Role:
Plan, design and implement AfTLD research strategy
Advise the board of issues relating to research
Review happenings in gTLD and recommend appropriate  line if action of 
EXCOM
Review gTLD activities with respect to AfTLD and recommend changes 
required

Marketing Working Group

Chair: Prof Nicholas Razafindrakoto Manager Nic.MG

Role:
Develop, assist implementation and review Marketing and  communications 
plans including
AfTLD Outreach program
AfTLD visibility program
AfTLD branding
Advise EXCOM on Marketing and Communication issues

Universal Acceptance Working Group

Chairman Molupe Molupe NIC.LS (Lesotho)
Roles
Review issues & challenges relating to Universal Acceptance and IDNs 
among African ccTLDs
Advise and assist EXCOM make position statements on Universal Acceptance 
and IDNs

Constitution Review Working Group

Chair Eyitayo Iyortim Chief Operating Officer NIRA NIC.NG

Roles
Review AfTLD constitution with respect to local law where AfTLD is 
incorporated and reflect recent happenings in the Domain name industry
Recommend changes required to EXCOM and General Assembly

Meetings Working Group

AFTLD President Dr. Serge Sanou
Role
Planning of AfTLD meetings and Developement of Learning Curriculum
Assist secretariat in the execution of the AFTLD annual Calendar
