LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN REACH 10 MILLION REGISTERED DOMAINS [2]

In a complex 2020 in global terms, LACTLD members reached a milestone:
they surpassed the barrier of 10 million domains in the region. This
event responds to a sustained growth trend of the last few years.

THE IGF LAC SPACE 2020 WAS HELD [3]

The IGF LAC Space brought together 17 organizations and more than 50
participants in a regional discussion organized by LACTLD. During this
session, organizations shared the projects, initiatives and research
they have undertaken over the past year and their plans for 2021.

.PE JOINED LACTLD’S ANYCAST CLOUD [4]

NIC Peru became a part of the 11 ccTLDs in the region that are already
clients of LACTLD’s Anycast Cloud. This means that the ccTLD has
copies of its zone in the different nodes that make up the network.
LACTLD's General Manager expressed his joy at the addition of the .PE to
this initiative, which brings greater resilience and security to the DNS
in the region.

PERCEPTIONS OF IT DECISION-MAKERS ON THE USE OF DNSSEC [5]

Pablo Rodriguez, Executive Vice President of PR Top Level Domain,
summarized the findings of his study on IT decision makers' perceptions
of DNSSEC use. Based on the results, he shared a set of recommendations.


LACTLD REPORT ON ICANN69 [6]

The LACTLD Report on ICANN69 has been published. The Report reviews the
main sessions of interest to the ccTLD community, held at ICANN69
Virtual Annual General Meeting (AGM). The document also covers the
Virtual ccTLD News Sessions organized by the ccNSO prior to the Public
Meeting.
